The Wedding Marquee is set in the heart of the beautiful Auchinleck Estate, East Ayrshire.
Our aim is to give you the freedom to put your own personal touch on the venue, whilst being on hand to help with anything you might need. We want to move away from the traditional “in & out approach” of many venues whilst giving you the opportunity to put your own personal stamp on your special day. Ayrshire’s Boswell’s Estate Wedding venue allow you exclusive access to the marquee two days prior to your wedding enabling you to relax and enjoy decorating the venue; making it totally unique to you. Believe us, no two weddings are ever the same which makes it so special.
A Boswell’s wedding is not a ‘per head’ type of event, we know the people you choose to attend your special day are loved, valued and there for a reason – as such we keep our pricing simple with a venue charge. Our venue wedding charge includes the hire of our luxury Wedding Marquee including the Stables function room, the Chivari chairs, tables, linen cloths and napkins. New for 2024 we’ve also introduced our unique ‘woodland’ marquee which allows you and your guests to enjoy your special moments under the canopy of the Ayrshire countryside.
Our woodland marquee allows you all the uniqueness of an outdoor Scottish wedding whilst giving you safety from the Ayrshire weather – to ensure your happily ever after is sheltered from even the liquid sunshine!
As well as this we include as standard whisky barrels, a cake stand with knife, all required glassware, fully stocked bar and of course, our wonderful team of staff as well as our own Master of Ceremonies – who are on hand to ensure your day is perfect. The Stables function room next to the Wedding Marquee, is a charming listed building & is used by many couples to get married in.
Our exclusive caterers Big Bite Catering are on hand to create a menu which suits your tastes and budget, allowing it to be as elaborate or simple as you wish. As standard all silverware, china and serving staff are included.
We’re also proud to include a number of recommended suppliers within our Wedding Brochure; these are individuals and companies which have worked with ourselves over the last seven years, allowing us to speak with confidence regarding their abilities, skills and offerings. You are of course welcome to use your own suppliers.
For the past seven years Boswell’s Estate Weddings have run and hosted weddings in our breathtaking wedding marquee.
About the Wedding Marquee
- Exclusive access to the marquee two days prior to your special day, giving you time to add your personal touch with decorations – whether it is teepees, vintage tractors or anything in between . Without any rush or time pressure.
- Prices includes Chivari chairs, tables, linen cloths & napkins, whisky barrels, cake stand with knife, glassware, fully stocked bar and a Master of Ceremonies.
- Accommodating both small intimate gatherings as well as larger parties we can comfortably accomodate from 70 to 270 guests.
- Our Woodland marquee is perfect for up to 200 ceremony guests
- The opportunity to bring allow your fury or scaly family member too! We love to see your pets involved in your big day everything from tortoises, horses and even prized bulls!
- A wide selection of both catering & drinks packages to ensure you have the perfect day.
- Exceptional photo opportunities across the Estate. Perfect for those more adventurous.

Your Wedding, Your Layout
Why compromise on your big day? The wedding marquee can be arranged however you like. Each table holds 8-12 people and you can have up to 17 tables, not including the top table. The bar cannot be moved. The below diagrams are for reference/example purposes.
